Laura lives in Chicago with her husband, two sons, and beloved Cavalier Spaniel. After seven years in state government and five in Financial Tech, Laura paused her career outside the home to embrace the most rewarding job of all, motherhood.

While Laura does a variety of writing, at heart she is realist who writes fiction. A rationalist who understands visceral truths, she crafts characters with dynamic backgrounds who are relatable in both their strengths and weaknesses. Having completed her first manuscript she is eager to begin her second novel.
